Join Doug Fitch and our VIP delegation for an unforgettable four night sensory arts & culture immersion in Hamburg, Germany to attend a performance of Le Grand Macabre, designed and directed by Doug Fitch and conducted by Alan Gilbert. Fitch’s innovative staging blends puppetry and miniature sets with live video projections to transform the visual and narrative experience. A New York Times review of a previous production of this same opera by the same collaborators is summed up as “an exhilarating success.”
Participants will meet notable cultural and creative leaders as we enjoy ‘behind the scenes” access to Hamburg’s exciting art, architecture, and design scene through walking tours and receptions, including the new Elbphilharmonie concert hall by Herzog and De Meuron.
A particular highlight will be our invitation to one of Fitch’s legendary “Orphic Feast” theatrical and culinary performance events, created especially for Tiny World Tour’s delegation. Featuring some of the “Le Grand Macabre” artists and musicians and frequent Tiny World Tours Collaborator Chef Steve Couch, this special evening is held within "The Box Hamburg,” a re-imagined theatre that has become a dazzling destination event and creative space with vintage furnishings, shops and galleries.
