Then hop in your own car (or ride the train or fly and get a rental car) and join this Tiny World Tour offered in close collaboration with A Tour of Possibilities, specializing in Black History.

  • You provide your own transportation to/from Memphis

  • You drive your own car or rental car (COVID safety measure) - (NOTE: The Memphis black history car caravan tour has an upper limit of five cars, so some participants may need to ride together)

  • Alcoholic drinks are not included with the three included meals

  • You pay for your own hotel room - we recommend the hip and swanky Central Station Hotel, Memphis’ Historic Train Station.

  • You pay for entrance fees and meals not noted as included in the itinerary below.

Itinerary

Day 1: Thursday, May 13

Welcome to Memphis! Please arrive in the afternoon, check into your hotel, and join us for a 5 PM - 7 PM welcome Memphis BBQ dinner outside on the patio of the Central Station Memphis Hotel.

Day 2: Friday, May 14

9:30 AM (sharp) - noon: Gather in parking lot next to the Memphis Visitor Center (119 N. Riverside Drive, Memphis, TN 38103 tel:901-543-5333) where we will begin our caravan tour of Memphis Black History sites (this caravan tour ends at the entrance to STAX Museum of American Soul Music, museum entrance fee included)

Afternoon and Evening on-your-own (we will provide you with a variety of recommendations)

Day 3: Saturday, May 15

8 AM - (on your own) Stroll the Memphis Farmers Market adjacent to the Central Station Hotel

10 AM - Art Expert-led Tour of the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art (entrance fee included)

Afternoon On-your-own (a great time to visit Graceland, the National Civil Rights Museum, the Blues Hall of Fame Museum, Beale Street, or any other Memphis sites). Please let us know if you have any particular special interests.

5 PM - 7 PM Outdoor dinner at Loflin Yard

7:30 PM - Meet on the Tennessee (south) side for farewell walk across the Big River Crossing at Sunset.

Day 4: Sunday, May 16: Tour Conclusion
